Hi friend!
Therapist turned coach, leader, speaker & author.
I've worked in many settings over the last 20+ years including education, social services, management and community mental health. I had someone ask me recently why I wanted to add coaching to my career.
The answer is really quite simple: I don't think everyone needs therapy, and coaching is an amazing way for me to meet other women where they are on their journey. Truly, I love that I get to walk with people and encourage them without having to diagnose them! (Learn more about the difference between coaching & counseling here.)
My own story is reflected in my work and my passion. I have been lost and found. I've been anxious, depressed and incapacitated. I've overcome church hurt and harmful teaching that made me think my anxiety meant I wasn't a good enough Christian for God to love. I've lost jobs and relationships, just like most of us out there have. I've changed careers and reinvented myself when God has nudged.
I learned that I needed to make some important shifts in my mindset and life and that let me become who I am created to be. I've learned to defeat the lies that had me bound and create healthy mindsets and beliefs about myself, God and others.
I still work as a therapist as the co-founder of the Unboxed Grace Counseling Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where I serve as the CEO & Clinical Director. I reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana with my husband. We have two sons and two dogs. Fun facts: I'm obsessed with Boston Terriers & dark chocolate and I love serving on our worship team as a vocalist with my husband.

Good question! Coaching focuses on growth, mindset, and moving forward toward your goals. Therapy often explores healing past trauma or diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. Check out my blog with more information about this by clicking here.
I typically work with high-achieving Christian women—leaders, helpers, healers, and entrepreneurs—who are ready to break free from perfectionism and find peace, presence, and purpose. I also work with therapists who would like an introduction to the aspects of business that they need to know in order to open their own practice.
Options include private 1:1 coaching, group coaching, and the She Learns Grace community. If you join the community, there is a VIP option that includes 1:1 coaching with me.
No. While faith may influence my coaching style, it’s always led by your comfort level and preferences if you work with me in 1:1 coaching. The Anti-Perfectionist Lab is faith based.
You will experience less anxiety, better boundaries, more confidence, and renewed peace in both work and life. Clarity around identity, career, and relationships often emerge. In group coaching, you can expect to create connection and community.
